    “Whenever you enter an office, you don’t have your laptop with you, you have your mobile computer power exactly here,” Mr. Heins said, patting a BlackBerry 10 phone sitting in a holster on his hip. “You will not carry a laptop within three to five years.”

    While I largely agree with the overall sentiment, I’d still bet on RIM being a services company sometime in the same time-span — perhaps one owned by someone else. Also, it’s hard to take any of that seriously when you read that Heins has a BlackBerry “holster” on his hip. It makes the image at the top of the story pure gravy, as a result.

    I chortled.

    I had one of those in my soho apt. Bought it in 2008. It was called “The Colossus.” Left it on the sidewalk of Howard street in January 2012. It was picked up by someone within an hour. Weird. 

    I remember seriously considering buying this. Not sure what I would use it for today. Moleskines?

    I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed how damned thick those Disney movie boxes were.

    Is this a thing now? I keep seeing people saying really stupid, horrible things about cosplayers and challenging their status as geeks or nerds.

    For the record, I don’t give a rat’s ass if you read comics but still dress up like Deadpool or Catwoman. The fact that you’re deciding to dress up in a costume and hang out at a convention is proof enough of geek cred… but then again, there is no litmus test for geekdom, nor should there be, and it’s no one else’s job to authenticate one’s status as a geek or nerd.

    Tony Harris, your remarks are nothing less than disgusting and you ought to be ashamed of yourself. I expect better not just from a professional artist, but for someone who has worked on so many great project before. Simply despicable.
